InfoManager
captures all or part of the information the user has encountered to index
and store it, regardless of source and format. This information is immediately
available for search and retrieval.
The success and value of Ardivos solution is based on
two factors:
1) Our solution guarantees that all of the information,
content and data a user has ever accessed will be available for subsequent
search and retrieval
2) The data stored by the system are user-selected
(i.e. selected and pre-processed by the user in the course of his/her
daily computer usage), and therefore by orders of magnitude more manageable
than the raw Internet data pool.
The Ardivo Point of Difference:
1. User-Centric Approach
Provider-centric knowledge management is primarily targeted at accumulating
data and storing them. Due to the large size of the data stored, the
ability of knowledge managers to structure them is limited. The user
is given access to data and tools to perform standard searches on them.
As the data are not highly structured, the user has to screen large
volumes of irrelevant information before s/he finds what s/he is looking
for.
A user-centric approach is, on the contrary, concentrated on making
a search more efficient and less time-consuming for a user. Our product
brings user-centric knowledge management on an entirely
new level.
2. Transparent
Integration
An Ardivo user can search and retrieve data of every format and origin,
whereas the majority of available solutions have serious limitations
in this respect. No special effort is required from a user to operate
the system; data conversion and transformation are automatic.
3. Data Relevance
At present, a lot of attempts are made to handle data a user stores
in one form or another. The point of difference of our product is that
we work with data a user actually accessed. To a user, this means that
all his/her passive memory (i.e. things s/he has seen once but would
not recall if need be) is turned into active memory, i.e. can be recalled
at any time.
